Apr 16, 2018John Paul Powers, age 72, of Burlington, passed away on Friday, April 13, 2018, at his residence after several months of failing health. A native of Guilford County he was the son of the late Ezekiel Erastus Powers and the late Eugenia McGee Powers and was married over 30 years to Mrs. Jerry Ann Crenshaw Powers, who survives. Mr. Powers retired from Terry Labonte Chevrolet with over 23 years of service and was of the Baptist faith. He and his wife, Jerry Ann, loved to travel all over the country and they were active members of the "Holiday Ramblers" RV Club. Mr. Powers is survived by his wife of the home; two sisters, Betty Parrish of Kernersville and Martha Garner of High Point; and a brother, Harold (Jeanette) Powers of Summerfield. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Bobby Charles Powers, James Powers and Kenneth Powers. The funeral service will be conducted at 12 noon, Monday, April 16, 2018 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by his nephew, Rev. Michael Powers and Chaplin Danny Green. Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:30 until11:45 a.m., Monday prior to the service at the funeral home.
